Training and Qualifications
Most Chiropractors in the UK have had 5 years of full time education at a specialist college accredited by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC).
This training covers variety of subjects including life sciences, radiology, biomechanics, orthopaedics, practical training in manipulation, neurology, clinical medicine and differential diagnosis. Chiropractors are trained to diagnose pathology and identify contraindications to chiropractic treatment.
Most UK Chiropractors then undergo a year of supervised clinical training before attaining a full registration with the British Chiropractic Association.
The GCC has mandatory requirement for all Chiropractors to undertake Continual Professional Development (CPD) as a condition for re-registration on an annual basis.
The Chiropractors here, at the Enfield Chiropractic Clinic, are all registered with the General Chiropractic Council and are members of the British Chiropractic Association or the United Chiropractic Association.
All Chiropractors are trained to evaluate the overall health status of their patients and identify signs of serious or life threatening medical conditions that require a referral to the GP or the Hospital.
