The Enfield Chiropractic Clinic now utilises a prescription Orthotics system which often can mean an answer to reoccurring and chronic low back pain.

Many of us walk around everyday taking 12,000 steps on average, without looking at the way we walk. We may be walking with an imbalance, putting one side under more stress and strain than the other side. This may mean our joints and muscles have to work harder on one side than the other, and therefore the imbalance can start to affect our pelvis and back and keep affecting the back joints higher and higher.

Custom Foot Orthotics are foot supports that you wear in your shoes that help your feet work and function in a more efficient relieving manner.

The Enfield Chiropractic Clinic has a Gaitscan system that is a pressure sensor plate attached to the computer, which will assess the timing and pressures of your walk. You will be asked to walk across the plate several times to get accurate readings.

This information will be put together with the assessment of your feet by the Chiropractor and advice on the need of Foot Orthotics will be given.

The Gaitscan help deduct the reason behind someone’s foot, heel, foot arch, knee, hip or back pain.
